About AIR Detox
Safe, Personalised Healthcare at Home
Our Mission
Removing barriers to healthcare
At AIR Detox, our mission is simple: to provide safe, doctor-led detox in the comfort of your own home. Guided by compassion and evidence-based practice. we make treatment accessible, flexible and stigma-free. Our vision is a future where every Australian can access the right support, at the right time, in the setting that best supports their recovery.
Personalised Care for Every Patient
Every treatment is different — because every person is different. We tailor your care around your history, health needs, and goals. With options for in-person care on the Gold Coast and telehealth services available nationwide, we make sure safe, doctor-led support is always within reach.
Founding Story & Service Model
AIR Detox was co-founded by Dr Hok Yee Siu, an experienced GP with a background in emergency medicine, and his wife Catriona, whose leadership and vision helped shape AIR Detox into a trusted healthcare service. Together, they saw a critical gap in the health system: people needing support with alcohol dependence are often faced barriers that made hospital or residential programs unrealistic.
AIR Detox was created to remove those barriers. By providing both telehealth and in-person care, we make care discreet, flexible, and accessible — without compromising medical safety or quality.
Safe, Personalised Healthcare at Home
Our programs are guided by experienced doctors, using prescription medications and evidence-based protocols to manage withdrawal symptoms safely. Each plan is tailored to the individual, with daily medical reviews in the first week, and free clinical reviews for 12 months to ensure ongoing medical support and guidance.”
Our Commitment
We are proud to be part of a government-funded pilot program through the Gold Coast Primary Health Network (PHN), reflecting our commitment to quality, safety, and accessibility.
